Generator got to work out this morning/afternoon

    Well my Generator purchase worked out well for me today...here in Tallahassee we had about a 3hr power outage (in the middle of summer)...I plugged up the generator I bought like 2 months ago, and it worked like a champ...both tanks were running through the power outage...i cant stress enough how important it is to have some kind of back up power in this hobby...just glad I bit the bullet and bought a generator before today, because it heats up FAST in a florida home without power!

    Absolutely, I bought a 5500 awhile back and had an electrician add a second circuit breaker box and wire for the generator to connect right into the second box. When power goes out I plug the generator into the house plug/adapter and throw a switch from the main to the secondary and can run the whole house with the exception of the central air (too much of a draw).

    yup. its a must if your in TX LA MS AL or FL. a hurricane will kill your tank.
