    Hey everyone,

I have a 180 Gallon Fish With Live Rock. Trickle/bio ball filter. What do I need to do to convert this to a reef tank.

Current inhabitants: Pajama Cardinals, 3 stripe damsels, domino damsels, 8" sailfin tang, about 20 turbo snails, sand-sifting star, mono argenteus and sebaes and a marine betta.

About 200 lbs of live rock/live sand.

I know i'll have to remove the marine betta.

    Thanks in advance

lights are the main thing, followed by removing the bio balls, and making a refugium out of it. not necessary, but will help.

um a skimmer if you dont already have one.

maybe test your waters for calcium, ph, magnesium, and nitrates, and phosphates.

you need consistancy through out the system from temperature, to Dk.
