    i knew the venom was for defense but i dont know why but thats just my personal experience of what ive seen

    No, you're correct. They manly show up in those type tanks.

    I made an edit and added a pic. That's hubby's finger and the eel bite scar.

    thats not as bad as i thought but still had to hurt like hell and its very easy to get infections from eels bites since the house so much bacteria in there mouths
