I'm sure all of you with pets have pulled out a laser at some point and watched them chase it all over. Last night as I was having my dog chase it all over the house I shined it in the tank and damned if those fish didn't go nuts chasing that light all around the tank! Haha

My mantis shrimp used to love chasing the laser. Didnt know it could kill corals though, are you talking about any old laser, or are there specific types that will kill coral?

To kill corals you need a very stong laser not a laser pointer. You will spend about 250 on a laser that will kill corals. Have fun with your laser pointer. Green is stronger then red and a laser pointer has no effect on corals until you get into the tactical ones.
