    Hello,
I was only feeding pellets to my damsel and now I added 2 clown fish. I started to feed them frozen food.
Do I need to buy this plastic cone thing that you buy at the fish store to put the frozen food in it or just drop it in the tank?
Do I need to thaw it or can I just drop it in the tank frozen?
    How do you do it?

When I first started my tank somebdy told me to put a filter pad in my sump it actually fits between my baffle do i really need it and if I do how do I rinse it I don't want to loose all the bacteria in it.
Should I just rince it in my dirty water of my water change, but that would be once a week is that enough?
    Can you help me please

    Thanks to all:)

i always unthaw frozen before feeding. and then spoon it into the flow of a powerhead to make the fish work for it a bit. lol.

when i rinse my filter pads out, i just use regular tap water. i give them a good rinse under the tap. ive never had any problems by doing this. i usually do it every few weeks. but wouldnt hurt to do it more often. im lazy. :)

It's best to thaw frozen food in ro/di water and then drain the water off and then feed to your fish. As far as the filter pad goes I would wash in plain tap water.

Definitly thaw it out first in a small cup or bowl and use some of the tanks water to do this.

Then I use a turkey baster to squirt it into the tank. I shut the powerheads, but leave the main pumps going so it moves the food around.
