I moved it up, as soon as nano-tuners receives their shipment of PC-R bulbs, I will replace them.

Rather than spend the $ on more PC bulbs I would invest in a good T5 fixture so you can support any corals you get. You will want more, believe me, & PC is phasing out. Look into Wavepoint & Aquatic Life both are reasonably priced & quality fixtures.

In my opinion, way too soon for coral and not enough "intense light. Calcium is?

no biocube 29 stock lighting definatly supports frogspawn/torch/hammerhead etc etc
Just not hard coral or high light demanding clam like Maxima. It will even support derasa clam. I have frogspawn on my biocube 29 on the mid tank section his doing perfectly fine.

Exactly how did you acclimate your Frogspawn? Corals are highly sensitive to changes in water parameters, and for sure, no two tanks are identical. Personally, I prefer the drip method to prevent salinity or PH shock.

what are your parms? you said they are OK, could you post them? Was the frogspawn looking good at the store before you brought it home?

I don't have any experience with PC lighting but from what I read and feedback from others using it, I think you'll need more light if you're trying to keep more than mushrooms, zoas, xenias, and those type of corals. But that should cause your frogspawn to have this problem so soon. Did you acclimate it?

On My 10 Gallon I have 80 watts of PC and the fluctuations of light intensity in my shallow tank is apparent so in the 29 I would assume more so...

Again I think you should check you parameters as well even if they are "ok"
