    Damn, yeah you do need that. Wish you lived closer, I'd give ya my metal halide/PC fixture, way too much light for that tank but you could not use 1/2 the lights.

    If you want seahorses, you really can't have many corals anyways, just basic softies and leathers, nothing that stings, so basically any light is prob enough. You can get some CHEAP basic leds that would work, do you have a budget?

    Ya may just wanna look into a cheap PC unit for a seahorse tank. Mr. Bill could help you out with that.

    i have a ballast for 55w lights and have 65w bulbs
    lol so i need to get new bulbs and do a refit for the original hood that goes on that tank....the tank is an oddysea and the tank is great ....the hood was junk from day 1.... what about kenya trees with seahorses?

    What color is the zerlight you got? Apparently they hsve blue snd purple and others. Maybe 2 or 3 of them over a small tank could grow stuff. Lol

    yeah, pretty sure kenya trees are ok with them

    no clue, won't know till i get them, I think we're gonna be pleasantly surprised by them, but heck, you can have the light on my seahorse tank if ya want, its def enough for corals, just kinda white, but you can solve that for $4 on ebay the same way I did.

    Can you get a fts with the light on? Always hard ti judge when there is no water in the tank! But homestly if you gave me that one i would add 2 blue strips 2 it. I like a more blue look to my tanks. Makes corals pop. Haha
