what would be easier the frag. the star polyps or hairy muchrooms? the mushroows i could remove from the tank. whats the most frags you could get from a large mushroom? and how quickly would the frags attach and grow and start looking like a mushroom again?

dont know much about the mushrooms but the GSP you can just rip those suckers right off the rock, they literally are just like underwater weeds.... as for the toadstool, i have heard of people cutting the "tops" off and then it will regrow, but i dont know if thats true or not.

Wow, GSP fragging seems like something I could do rather easily. Neat-o.

Easier. green star, but why would you want to! Fragging hairy mushrooms is not that hard, you just don't want to make the pieces to small on those. It seems to me like the hairy one don't do as good as the smooth ones do. last time I fraged one only 2 out of the 6 or so lived. But the smooth green one all lived and there were some pieces way less than a 1/4".

gsp grow like weeds and you can just cut them and they will grow try cutting no less then a square inch so you can monitor the growth
