I am planning to redo my aqua scape this weekend, and possibly removing some rock. Only thing is that my pulsating xenia has spread over a few of my rocks. So my question is if it is possible to removed the xenia from the base where it is attached to the rock, and glue it to another, as i would any frag. Ive split rocks before and split the linking bodies of it, and see no problem but removing it completely from the rock I really doubt its survival. Any suggestions?

I have heard that success is very low that way. Usually you just let it move to a place you want it hopefully. Sometimes your flow can be used to encourage it to move.

you could try cutting it and then "sewing" it to another rock with a needle....you would need a sharp needle and thin fishing line and go through the stalk of the xenia and wrap around rock(kind of like doing stitches) and tie it off but dont do it too tight or else the xenia will split...also ive heard of placing a rock in the bottom of a glass facing up place xenia on rock and put bridal netting or some kind of netting that wont block light/flow and then place in low flow area and let it attach to the small rock
