Found this on CL.need advice please

ok Ive been looking into cal reactors.sick of liquid dosing ugh..plus I would like things to be a little more stable so I can add some more sps(when I get rid of some softies..is this worth the money for what it comes with or should I just buy new..(price is a concern)..I also seen someone here post about getting the c02 tank from a beer dist?????....ok let me know what ya think..I was going to offer a $100...

Be careful about goin' cheap on a calcium reactor. The CO2 is extremely corrosive long term and cheap plastic parts won't hold up. Look for something made of high grade acrylic if you can afford it.- Paul

 

I agree, although Coralife isnt a bad name brand, they are not known to use quality materials in their products. A "good" or a decent brand name Cal reactor(complete system) will run you anywhere between $400-$800.
So if $$$ is a problem for now, I suggest to wait and save up for one. Or keep on searching through CL or Ebay until you find a good used one.

Thanks for the info guys.I think I'm gonna hold off save some cash,and get a good one brand new.at least then ill know what I got.in the mean time ill do a little more research
