So i was looking for my second nem today and he had crawled up under a rock and decided to not crawl out so he was completely wasted away and I didnt even know until just tonight so im sure that poisoned my water and killed my tang. I already did a water change is there anything else i should do? I have had that nem for 8 months :(

anemones usually take a while to perish in a tank with unfit conditions( up to a year) as for doing something you cant do much more than water change, sorry about the tang, anemones are like a bomb when dead for a aquarium.

This is his second tank and I just recently added more rock so he could have been stressed.

Yes a fluval 305 canister filter full of carbon and a phosban 150 reactor with bio pellets.

canisters arent good for rees, i would suggest a refugium or trickle/ wet dry

I would just do more water changes depending on how big this one was..

Nems are HIGHLY poisonous when they die in the tank, especially ones that are smaller.

But the carbon in said canister is pretty much required when keeping nems, otherwise the water fills up with all sorts of nasty stuff, including nematocysts.

Maybe add polyfilter into the canister?
