Here is what the listing says..

"I have a 46 gallon bowfront with a stand. Comes with some live rock, prolly about 40 pounds. A Current Nova Extreme pro 6 bulb light fixture, Grew all corals amazingly. Also have a Aqua C remora HOB protein skimmer with it... I have a powerhead and a heater that can also go with it.. Im pretty firm on the price."

He is asking 350, probably could bring him down. But what do you guys think?:-/

Sounds good for the price, but I would ask him for some pictures too. I'd do it depending on what condition everything is in. I currently have a 46gal bow and the stand/tank cost me about 350 brand new, so the price isn't bad at all but if he's in a dire situation(moving..ect) then you can probably hassle him down some since there probably won't be too many other prospective buyers.

The equipment is pretty good, I think it's a fair price.

Just make sure it's filled when you get there, and run a copper test on that water. Lots of people get hit with the copper-shocker when buying used, and the added assurance about it not having any leaks is nice too.

I know people that have set up reef tanks that were previously set up as copper medicated tanks. They have not had any troubles growing corals at all.

I don't think there is much truth to the old adage about copper getting into the silicone.

I should fill up my old 10g with some of my water change water from my tank tonight, and put it into the 10g I used as a hospital tank and ran copper in. It was a new tank then, so other than that it hasn't been used. I will let that run a week and then do a copper test to really test that theory.

That said, 350 is a good deal for that tank. The light alone is worth over half that amount, and then it has a decent skimmer and the tank, with LR.

I have tested if Cu leaches into silicone and it does not. I hope that settles that one.

    350 sounds good to me.

Good, I would rather not waste my time with old water just to prove a point you have already proven;)
