I just battled inlet leaking on my wet/dry. I ended up having to use a new rubber gasket, recementing the 1" PVC to the ribbed hose to remedy the problem. While I was at it, I added a 90 degree elbow to eliminate the gurgling sound. Don't over tighten the nut, hand-tightening to a snug stop should be adequate for the bulkhead. If you over tighten, the gasket will warp under the pressure and water will leak. Another thing that will cause a leak is if the PVC does not have a clean straight cut. It won't seat fully into the inlet. I'm assuming you have slip joint from the drain to the inlet. If so, teflon tape won't really help you much on the inlet bulkhead since the bulkhead is upside down.
Take a look at my pic to see if that is how your inlet looks. Hopefully this helps a bit.

Well I snugged it up just a tiny bit, replaced the paper towel and it is still dry., Whew. Hope that is the last of that. I did notice that the Dorso shimmies a bit, maybe it just came loose.

I will check again in the am. Hopefully I can sleep now.

It seemes like anytime something happens, it takes awhile to get confidence back again..

    Thanks all for the advice.

    Cheers
