:confused::confused:2 of my clownfish and my coral beauty died last night and the other 2 and the rest of my fish have what appears to be ich or velvet. I had already tried treating the tank with bio safe ich-attack which did not work.

I've decided to use a quarantine tank to treat the rest of my fish in the aquarium. My problem is that I don't knbow which method I should use to treat them....the forma-green dip and then quarantine, hyposalinity only, quarantine with forma-green, or a combination. The clownfish don't look very well and are no longer eating.

All levels are normal within my main tank : nitrate 0, nitrite 0, ph 8, ammonia 0. Temp is at 79 and salinity is at 1.022. Any suggestions would help thanks!

Also, how can I properly acclimate my fish to the hyposalinity?:confused::confused:

your not suppose to mix hyposalinity with other treatments.
reef-safe ich treatments don't work more then 50% of the time, some say its just colored water lol, i suppose you could try the placebo effect but then it you would have to learn how to speak fish.
i would try the dips, or put them in qt then just treat the water,

while in the fish less main tank i would do hypo to kill the reproducing ich.

thats just huge amounts of slime coat, its probably a good sign that they are producing a lot of it to combat the ich, i would be worried if they stop producing it before the infection gets better.

no other real suggestions the best way to do it is puting them in qt with non reef safe medications.
