That is probably your problem. Your using to much of that product. Have you considered a WC?

I would do a waer change rather then try to chemically removing it. I think a few small waterchanges where the tank is still new would help more then a couple big ones. To me cloudy water is usually nutrients, chemicals or ammonia.

I would do a few I would say do one every other day for a week so it would be 3 10percent water changes. "The solution to pollution is dilloution". I have heard that saying on here before I dident make it.

Haha. I like that saying. My LFS gives out R.O. Water for free I will see if they are open tomorrow I have a 5 gallon bucket with R.O. Water and salt pre mixxed but my specific gravity will go above 1.023 if I use it. I added a little tap water with dechlorinator chemical to help.

10% Water Change is done... Sea Clone Skimmer Mod done. I tested the water before I started anything. Somethings went up.. I don't know if it's because the Live Rock wasn't handling the whole Bio-Load before when I had the Filter on? So I turned it back on for now. I don't want to lose my Picasso or Clown Trigger!!!! Here are the specs:

    Ph: 8.4
    Nitrite: 0.25 mg/L
    Nitrate: 40 mg/L
    Ammonia: 0 mg/L
    Phosphate: 2.0 mg/L
    Spec Grav: 1.023-1.024
    Temp: 75.5

Also, I won't be using the Phosphate-E anymore. I am going to invest in a Phosphate Reactor next. Then a better Protein Skimmer, then a HOB Over-Flow Box. I need something in my tank to handle the Nitrates. Suggestions are more than Welcome!

Has anything died in the tank?

Not recently. Last fish that didn't make it I had removed within 2 minutes of it dying. I have been running my Filter all night long. I will take some readings and get back to everyone.

Todays water results after 24hrs of Filter being ON.

    Temp:75.2
    Spec Grav: 1.023
    PH: 8.4
    Nitrite: 0 mg/L
    Nitrate: 30-40 mg/L
    Ammonia: 0 mg/L
    Phosphate: 2.0 mg/L

I did conduct a 10% R.O. water change that I had orignially put too much salt into the 5 gallon bucket so I removed a couple cup fulls and added tap water with a dechlorinator chemical. This is the result.

I seem to have a brown algae problem on the back wall of the tank. Doesn't concern me much but it comes around quick. I was reading up on Refugiums... anyone think it would benefit my tank with the higher Phosphate & Nitrate levels? Or should I stick with Mechanical Filtration and use Phosphate & Nitrate removal pads instead?
