Foam media replacement material?

    Does anyone have an example of something handy around that would work for replacing the foam media in my reactor canisters?.. upholstery foam perhaps?
    ..anyone ever replaced with DIY stuff?

    they seem to be loosing their luster. : (

    yeah,marine depot sells filter media in cut to size/shape sheets with a few different options on thickness and micron size.

    Edit-my lfs also sells it

    what is the micron size of this do you think..if its too dense I'm afraid it would plug up....I didn't even think of my lfs..geeeez. lol Thanx man.

    the foam in the pics looks pretty dense,so i'd guess 100 to 200 micron maybe?That almost looks like a polishing filter,so could even be finer than that. :confused: lol.
