I recently got my hands on a Hydor Koralia Nano 1 (240 GPH), I already have a hang on power filter putting out about 200 gph at full blast. Would it be too much to have both of these going full blast in my 5 gallon cube? that would be a turnover of 88x....that is if the pumps perform at what they are rated. Im looking to keep a mixed reef, my zoas are fully open and appear to be loving it.

your corals will be the best judge IMO
and I would be interested to see how they reacted

with the existing return at 200 gph you already have 40 x and IMO thats more than adequate for most softies and possibly to much for some.

Thats what i figured. i have it situated so that its is shooting down the side glass and making sort of a loop around the rock work. i think it will be okay...i can always turn down the hang on or take out the hydor if need be.
