Rather than mess with bleach and re-wetting everything, I'd worry more about getting it as dry as possible ASAP. If you can get a fan on it, the water should wick out of there fairly quickly.

But without a ASO before the membrane (pressure activated), this wouldn't have saved him. The waste line could have continued to produce water.

+1 on the fans. Go rent a couple of industral fans and let them run for a couple of days in the problem areas. I flooded my house with my tank and RO in the same day causing a huge mess. It started upstairs and when into the basement. Ended up causing over $6000 in damage got all new carpet in the whole house. Glad I had home owners insurance :)

As Evo states, the system has to have the back pressure to shut off the valve, IF it even has one, mine does.
Forget what the valves called- too lazy to google it-
    Where's the RO Guru? (AzDesRat)

You know, I hear of people using it for the washing machine water, etc.
How am I going to get that much RO discard to my washing machine when I need it? I know an elaborate system could be made, just not me, no now.

Yeah the washing machine would work but my washer is on the third floor and the rodi is in the basement. It would take quite a set up to get water up stairs. I keep a few gallon jugs full of waste water for watering my house plants.
