looking into the possibility of getting a sand flounder, problum being i would put it in a bb agro tank. my first question is does the flounder really need the sand for anything except camo? and also what would you expect a huma and niger triger, vol lion, lunar wrasse porc puffer do to it, if anything. i think it would make a good botom feeder. theres no inverts in there except hermits and nertile snails.

Typically, the flounder is an ambush predator, concealing himself and waiting for prey to move within reach. Getting him to lay on BB and take prepared foods may be quite a hurdle; with energetic puffers and triggers overhead, getting food to him will be another.

The fish in question absolutely requires a sandbed to bury itself in.

As to the tankmates, the trigger and puffer will likely pick at it.
