we took the dogs to a dog park a couple weeks ago and they all brought home new friends with them, fleas. They have gotten bad fast. Took them to get dipped this weekend and have sprayed the house, however I think it did the opposite of what it was supposed to do, I think the fleas had a party and invited their friends in!

So now it looks like we have to bomb this place. I have talked with a friend of a friend who is an exterminator and they got me the stuff and said we had to leave the house for at least 4 hours including the dogs and cat (which I am very excited to take a cat out). My question is how do I seal the tanks to prevent it from getting in? as many of you know we have a couple different tanks. Any suggestions?

I thought about going to Sams and getting an industrial size saran wrap and covering all the tanks and sumps, but surely somebody else on here has experience

I have heard that fleas are the worst that they have ever been this year, at least around here. I have never had a flea problem before!

I had a flea problem about 2 months ago upon moving in and I dont have a dog or cat. It was a pain in the rear. My tank was setting out but not filled up and the guy suggested that I cut a large black garbage bag and tape it over the tank for preventative measures. He said its what he tells all of his clients to do this.

Whatever you do, don't run any protein skimmer or air stone that injects air into water or you'll be putting poison in your tank.
