Flatworm Exit question

I have used it many times in Friends and family systems last was a few months ago. I've never had any problems with it.. Trick is to have a good grade of carbon and several recharges near buy .. The Mag 350 is the better pump or one along that design line you have to move lots of water through the carbon fast.. Trick is to act as soon as you see them to many just procrastinate and allow them to increase in numbers.. then the more their are the worse the toxin release will be..
My Son in law was like that until they where just everywhere.. My daughter never lets him forget LOL I told when I first saw them just a few what to do.. Is R/C research just confused him.. until it was to late.. They won't just go away.. I just use the carbon never messed with the water changes.. Just like when treating with heart guard and acro red bugs.. Just carbon and skimmer I've never experienced any of the horror problems I have read about with that treatment either

Then once you get them knocked out change the feeding methods you are now using to much meaty frozen food allowed to settle out to the bottom will make them explode in numbers like lemmings the more food the more they increase in numbers but atleast with lemming when the food gets short they will just jump into the ocean ..

 

Using predators to control a nusance population is always hit or miss but I have had good luck with six line and the fairy wrasses.

 

I had them in my 10 gallon. I used flat worm exit as instruct rd on the box and got rid of them. I used a Mag350 with a full carbon cart, and did a 25% water change and everything survived. Although it did take a few of my corals to completely recover. But now a week later everything is looking great and not one sign of flat worms.

 

I have used flatworm exit and had a lot of luck with it. Just make sure you follow the directions, and have a water change ready to go.
