flame angel vs coral beauty angel

what are the differences? someone wants to trade a 2 inch flame for my 4 inch coral beauty. I had him for 2 years, but i love flame angels

do flame angels nip on corals? also what are the difference between them?

 

Most dwarf angels have the potential to nip at clams/corals. For some reason the flame angel always goes for more $$$ than a coral beauty will. Personally I think the flames look tacky; they are so brightly colored, just black and orange. I like the coral beauty better. They are of the same genus and I do not believe one is more or less likely to nip at a coral than the other.

At least for me it seems that the flames are harder to keep. Atleast I have never had luck with them, never had anyproblems keeping a coral beauty.

I have both in my tank and they happen to get along, but i notice that the flame sometimes bullys other fish.

 

i also like the flame angel more than the coral beauty. but since you've had it for 2 years it may not be worth trading since all angelfish have a chance to nip at corals

 

The flame angel is 'feistier' a little more territorial and aggressive.

 

probably flame angel is bad idea. but i need to sell my coral beauty...i cant keep him in 10 gallon tank for 2 more weeks, my regular tank crashed. Much as it pains me to sell a 2 year fish I been with, but i think its best for him

If yo want to keep your coral beauty, but don't want it in the 10g for that long, ask your LFS if they will hold onto it for you until you get the new tank set up.
