    Inverts can't be infected by ich, but there is a very slight chance that they can carry it if transferred to another aquarium

    but what about the rocks? i remember having to trash all my live plants, and had to clean my rocks and and dry out my sand bed, it was a terrible disaster for my cichlid tank (before a board fell into the side shattering the glass and spilling 30g of stinky water in my living room)

    Ich is a fish only disease. If you remove the fish and put them in quarantine you will need to leave the display tank sit for at least 8 weeks before adding the fish back to it. This will starve the parasites, since they can only survive with a fish host and any eggs will have hatched, then starved too. Then you can add the fish back in.
