So I got a tomato clown two days ago and he is doing great. I feed him pieces of frozen brine shrimp 2-3 times a day he eats a little bit at a time. He swims around but does host up next to the heater, what's something they might host other than an anenome and my heater haha? Right now all I have is live rock and a few pollups opened up. Tank is almost two months old.

What are some other fish I can add in? and what else do the tomato clowns like to eat?

The clown will eat any meaty food. Brine shrimp is very low on nutrients you should find other foods to feed.

yup, to add nutrients to brine shrimp.. I soak them in pythoplankton for a few minutes before feeding. formula 1 or 2 cubes are good to mix into feeding regiment.

i have had experience with clowns hosting all kinds of things and so have a lot of other people... certain corals like branching hammers, frogspawn, and anemones; however I am not suggestion to just go out and buy those. They have also rarely been found to host large clams and algae. My clowns have currently moved on to hosting the sandbed.

i alternate feeding mysis shrimp and Spectrum Thera +A (sinking pellet food) from day to day, but I soak both of these in different supplements and additives also.

If you are interested: They are both soaked in Garlic Guard by Seachem, AminOmega by Brightwell Aquatics, and VitamarinC by Brightwell Aquatics. I do this because I recently had a problem with ich and regret never having done this before. I see brighter colors and much more active fish that look a lot healthier. The garlic guard is suggested for fish who you are having trouble getting to eat the foods you are feeding them and also to boost immune systems. And the other food supplements supply nutrients that help strengthen the immune systems as well.
