It's kinda what I thought too. Do they usually get this big and how much bigger do you think he might get in a 55gal? How will I know if he's too big for my tank?

Ive seen some damsels get close to 6"s. People would trade them in at the LFS I use to work at. What are you feeding it? Its color looks a little dull.

Here are pics of chromis blue and green...

it's been that color for as long as I can remember. She eats New Life Spectrum Optimum flakes, Seaweed Selects Green Marine Algae and Mysis Cubes. Anything you'd recommend to brighten her up? She will eat just about anything that moves and is sometimes a bully to my Foxface Rabbit, but the Foxface stands it's ground and raises the spikes of death. LOL

The reason I say her is the following article I just found~~~~~>

    Sex: Sexual differences:
Blue Damselfish are sexually dimorphic. The females are entirely blue without any yellow or orange coloration, some females depending on localities have a black ocellus on the lower posterior part of the dorsal fin. Also they have nearly translucent fins (see photo at the top of this page), versus totally blue fins in males. There is more information here:

After reading more of the article, it seems as though, she is a Blue Devil Damselfish!
