Hello all. I have been running my tank for a couple of months now and everything is going well. I have a clown in the tank that was given to me but I am returning him. He has a screw loose I believe and is trying to eat my peppermint shrimp. On that note I would like to get set of clowns (small) and a host anenome. I plan on having coral but want to wait until the tank has been set up for around 6 months or so just to get used to the system and have all my equipment in order (dosers, reactors, etc.) Would the pair of clowns and anenome be alright or should I go with something different?

size of the tank? lighting? for a nem IMO you need a 30 and MH or T5 lighting and stable water conditions

you could sooner get a hardy coral (zoa's)

I would go with Pink Skunk Clowns, they are easy to pair just get 2 different sizes and the larger one will become female. You need a very high light for Nems, I would wait until you try corals. As a first nem I would go with Long Tenatacle or RBTA.

An anemone is much harder to care for then most coral. I'd advise against it in such a new tank and your lighting may not be adequate, unless you keep it up high, which is really up to the anemone. You should probably do a little more research before purchasing the anemone.

Thanks for the input. So the clowns will do fine without an anenome? I just dont want them to be unhappy...
