So after 2 weeks of running my calcium reactor I am getting it very close to where I want it. My Alk is 9.3 and my calcium is 500. I want to come down on my calcium a little so my question is, is it better to decrease my CO2 (my bubble counter is not quite 1 a second) or increase the ph meter which is set at 6.7?

So I closed off the CO2 just a tad. I will test later. I like my alk at 9 but hope my calcium comes down.

Your ca at 500 is fine. Calcium reactors should actually be called alkalinity reactors because that is what they replenish.
Shoot for the pH and alk level you want, your ca will eventually fall in line then given time.

I do like the Alk where it is at. That is good news. I will just continue to test. Thanks Dingo.

I will explain this as best I can:
From where you are now, increase in co2 (or decrease on ph monitor level) will drive alk up and will lower pH. Increase in effluent rate will consume more co2 but might bring your alk down a bit.
