You may remember my last post. My ex-girlfriend's 5 year old daughter decided to feed my fish unsupervised and dumped the entire can of food in the tank, essentially commiting nuclearr warfare on my tank! Well, I'm ready to restart my tank now. It's a 30 gallon tank. This has been a hobby of mine the last two years, and after a few months off, I'm really missing my aquarium. So I'm starting anew. However, on my previous tank I used both a hangover filter and hangover protien skimmer. This time, I want to upgrade my filter to a sump that will fit in my stand below my tank. If anyone can recommend a good sump and protien skimmer combo that I could use for my tank, along with any good tips on getting it going (since I've never used this type of filter before), I would greatly appreciate it. I'm also looking for something somewhat affordable, and I'm not a build it myselfer. Thanks in advance for the help!

Looking forward to getting my beautiful aquarium back!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If this is the standard rectangle shaped tank and you do not want to build a sump you could do a fuge like a CPR and add a Tunze 9002 skimmer. It is a hang on fuge, but it comes with a light to grow chaeto.

Congrats on moving in the direction of getting the system up and running again, good luck.

Waiting on the rebuild, enjoy doing and incorporate the things you would change from your previous build(s).
