    Last December i started a thread asking for help on what was wrong with my tank why i am loosing my colonies left and right.

    the problem? severe alkalinity swing caused by faulty salifert alkalinity test kit and hyposalinity because of de-calibrated refractometer.

    it was a very frustrating and sad experience BUT i am now on the rebound and with a vengeance!

    This is what the tank looks now and the corals that were damaged are now recovering and gaining color again.

    Having a crash under my belt as well,i can truely feel the pain.Glad to see you was able to rescue some and they're coming back.Tank is looking great,congrats on the comeback!

    I had a near crash due to salinity last year from an out-of-calibration refractometer. I recalibrate mine constantly now. Congrats on saving what you did though! Soon enough it will just be a memory!
