Hi there i have a bangaii cardinal and two common clownfish.
I have just noticed one of the fins on the cardinal fish is torn in half!!??
It was fine yesterday, and all his other fins look fine, so that leads me to believe its not fin rot or disease, which means i got a fin nipper!!
    could the clownfish attack him?
i have noticed during feeding they nip at each other.
Also i have a few big hermit crabs could they have given him a nip??
    Will the fin grow back?
Is there anything i can do to help him???
    Any advice?? :-[

How big is the tank, and how big are these hermits you have? The fin tear should grow back as long as your cardinal is healthy.

He may have just gotten snagged when spooked at one point as well

I would suspect the clowns. They are notorious for being territorial little monsters.

lmao why are you all writing so big?? lol

i think your clowns are being bullies, they can be territorial.

if you give your fish good food, the tail should grow back to normal.
