filter pad recomendations?

    I don't dry them. Maybe they could withstand the heat of a dryer, but since they have plastic forms inside the neck, it's best not to expose them to the heat of a dryer.

    After they're washed and air dryed, they're safe. The amount of residue from any items in tapwater is negligible.

    That makes sense. After that i guess it would just come down to making sure you use the right amount of bleach. good info thanks.

    what is the difference between the felt and the mesh filter sock both the same? or is one better? any opinions?

    filter socks all the way. get a few of them so you have a clean one ready to go. they are reusable no more buying filter pads!

    Ditto. I change my filter sock about every 5 days but also keep a small piece of poly in the output of the skimmer in with the bubble trap I replace this when I do my water changes
