when i look though my front glass and look up,i can see that alot of the water surface has a film on it.I have really good surface agitation, any suggestions on how to remove it??.my water test fine, but i'm worried about the film blocking oxygen/nitrogen from doing there thing.

get a surface skimmer box for your protien skimmer. This will pull the surface water down into the skimmer and nab up the oily junk on your water

Float a paper towel on the surface every once in awhile and it will soak up the film.

that sounds alot easier, allthough i am working on the overflow bow,but being a 20 gal.it's gonna take up alot of room in the tank.

easier... I guess. But it's only a short term solution... you'll have to do it every few days or so (depending). Overflow will be a permanent solution. The overflow will be worth it. Maybe you can find a smaller one?
