My 150g is good *knock on wood*
is my 29 who is in predicament.

Sadly my mom doesn't want anyone she doesn't know to come over, which makes things extremely more difficult...
    Ugh..
It's all now on hoping and waiting I guess.

isnt there a uncle or guy friend of hers who can be there while someone comes over to help. I understand her situation and hesitance but she also needs to know your tank needs help to and these are good people who are willing to lend a hand. Mb if there is another male there she may feel more comfortable.

Having a reef tank is such a hands-on thing, I couldn't imagine "tending" to one remotely.

Even if an LFS can get out there and do something to mitigate the short term consequences--the fact remains that the one with the knowledge is out of town.

You might have to accept that tending to a reef tank far from home isgoing to be almost as difficult as college.

    Good luck, Wesho.

I agree. Even though its a loss, that's it, just a loss. But its only temporary. You have the choice to start all over or hopefully everything gets fixed. That's all on you.

    yeah, i know...
but there is no way i can just break everything apart. My mom was doing a good job, and starting to get the hang of it. But i wasnt expecting something like this to happen.
it is not so much the loss of the fish that got me because I can buy new ones anytime. But the fact that it took so much time to get to where i am to loose everything in one night.

although mom said that corals look fine and it was only the fish that died, so im hanging to her word.
Im hoping the LFS can straighten things out and then ill go next weekend and see what ill do.:-/

Just seen the post....I am sorry to hear about your troubles. I wish there was something I could do to help. It does however make me feel good to know that there are fellow reefers out there that is willing to help when there is a need.

Thank you guys for all the support. I really appreciate everyone's concern and willingness to help out. This makes 3reef the best site ever.

So for an Update on my tank.

I called my mom and It seems that things are stable ATM..
She cleaned the filters and the power-heads. She says water looks clearer than it was.

Apparently my male clown is still alive and eating.
Mom says that she didn't see any other fish during feeding but that there is a small chance my fire-fish and diamond goby might be alive.. ( although i dont think they are because they are no where to be seen).

So I'm hoping it stays that way, at least till i go and see, or my lfs

    I don't get it.
She'll let a stranger from the LFS in the house, but not someone from the 3Reef forums? I'd trust just about anyone from these forums with my tanks as I find most people on these forums are good people who have nothing but good intentions.
