Dave , That would probly work if they were in the same section but hed still have to have a way to get the water over to where the dual rtns pumps are the way hes set up, with the different size pumps. will have a difficult time finding their sweet spot as he has already found this out (spill).
youd be better off putting in a Y off the return line to get wave effect or a closed loop

 

Nugio, I just wanted to let you know that I finally got my system set up like you suggested and it seems to be working great!! ;D I Did do what Nautilus Suggested and I put the 2 700 gph pumps in the Wet/Dry with the outlets on each end of the tank I had to upgrade my overflows to 2 800 gph units but as I said everything seems A-OK PS. I did have to throttle back the pumps a little as they were overtaking the overflows................ Thank You Again John
