Ok this might be really remedial but, I'd love to know how and how often everyone feeds their fish.
I was reading an article on Aptasia control and the summary noted that like all Anemones, Aptasia can not rely on light alone and if there is a population of Aptasia that is out of control, husbandry techniques should be re-examined.
This lead me to think that perhaps my feeding habits might be excessive or wrong.

I currently feed mysis once a day. in the amount of a tablespoon when thawed.
I toss it freely in the tank. I will follow up with either nori (1/4 sheet) or flake (pinch)

I feed once every second or third day.

I usually spotfeed my brains, gorgonian, and flowerpot everyday with some cyclopeze/plankton stuff, and add a small 1"x1" of seaweed for the tang. But I have to examine my feeding methods because im overfeeding, and getting some nitrates.

I do the same. Fish and corals do not eat everyday in the wild, they eat when there is food available.

Overfeeding creates too many problems. I have a saying. " a hungry tank is a healthy tank ".

I certainly do not want my fish friends hungry all the time. Have found feeding mine small amounts twice a day.

J --- amount of course depends on size of tank. For yours, it sounds like what you are feeding is certainly not too much. :-/

Feed Spirulina flakes soaked in Vit C with half cube of Mysis and pinch of cyclop-eeze every other day. On the off days I put half a sheet of Julian Sprung's purple seedweed on a clip.

Do you have a Aptasia problem Jason?

I feed my fish 1X per day, give the Condy anemone a silverside every 2-3 days. But, my nitrates are regularly 20-40ppm, so I'm probably overfeeding.
