I only WISH that I had a feather duster out-break...I have seen it before and it it quite beautiful. BUT, in that very same tank I spotted multiple aiptasia. So make sure these "feather dusters" aren't purple-ish brown guys that look like they have witches claws for tentacles. Aiptasia will look like a scraggly little anemone while a feather duster has a tube it comes out of. Feather dusters look just like their names, light and feathery...lol

I use to have feather dusters till my saddleback butterfly ate them all!! I'm glad the LFS told me my dusters would be fine.....idiots! Guess I should have done more homework on butterfly's and not rely on the LFS!!!! Lesson learned!!!

i have a feather duster outbreak myself
dont worry just shows things are going good

if they start getting on the glass (a couple of mine did) scrape em off with an old credit card or your finger nail if they are small still

I also had a featherduster outbreak.. The smaller ones..
They stay awhile then go away... Also had a pineapple sponge outbreak..
Same thing... They bugged the H out of me for a few weeks, then were gone...

For me it was just one of tho's things the tank took care of it's self..
I let it do it's thing .. Then no more problems..
    IF it is wild featherdusters.......

I've had a huge outbreak recently. My large duster dropped her feathers and spawned. Now her babies are everywhere and her crown is back :D

I also have a zillion little spiral tube worms on EVERYTHING. If they're reproducing it's healthy.

On a side note, I have MANY dusters with a greenish ball that looks like it's floating int he middle of the crown, "feathers" are pinkish. Anyone know what kind this is?
