I would make this a poll but there are too many options haha.

I am building a stand right now but cant decide on a height... So what height is you favorite? I think i might like to have a tank that you sit to view. But i like having a slight downward view because the corals have better colors from the top. I am thinking either 50" or 52" to the top... What are your heights

If I were to DIY a stand for my DT I would make the stand itself 48" tall just so I wouldn't have to bend to see into my tank like I do now. If doing that meant I would need a stool to do maintenance or whatever so be it. As it is now, if I really want to enjoy my tank comfortably for extended periods of time I have to pull up a chair.

When i stood in front of Sanjays tank admiring it with him for 2 hours my legs really hurt afterwards haha... and i usually spend more time than that staring at my own tank so im pretty sure i want it to be a sitting tank :p

Mine is at about 50". My stand was built to 30" height. Make sure you have enough room to comfortably work on equipment that is being placed in the stand.

I'm going to need a ladder to stick feed my fish... literally. I'm 5'1. The stand is 38" and the tank is 24".

I built my stand to 41" with my aquarium being about 18" tall it is quite tall I like it for standing up beacause I can see right into it but since it is in my living room I will have to look up in order to see it from the couch so when you decied make sure you take into account how you will be looking at it most of the time I am going to have to build a canopy for my aquaium I already know it because at the angle my lights will be rather bright but I am going to try it with out it first.

I will never go less than a 36" stand. EVER! I had a 24" one and it was a ^%$# getting anything done underneath it or even getting a skimmer to fit. plus it keeps little fingerprints from getting completely everywhere.

Mine is 40" high plus my tank is 24" high. I love it i can just stand in front to it don t have to have a chair to sit. Alot of room for the equipment below. The only thing is that i need a step ladder for cleaning but does not bother me. Higher is better i think

My uncle had a 110 show tank I sold him with an iron stand. He cut the stand down to like 18-20" off the ground. It looked ridicules! I think the top of the tank was like chest high. I never told him, but I think it ruined the whole idea of a SHOW tank.
