When I had my clown (put up for adoption due to aggressiveness) it hosted a magfloat. I don't see why you should have issue :)

Hairy Mushrooms don't like to be host to clowns...my clown tried it and it shrunk up and stayed that way till it left it alone. So maybe another kind like a toadstool would be better...just don't have a nice soft patch of GHA like Kcbrad or you may find them hosting that LOL.

Of the two, which is the most likely for the clown to host? I know it might not host either one. I was thinking the first one, because it looks like a carpet anemone (the natural host for my clown) what does everyone else think?

Honestly, if they're 8 bucks apiece, I would get both. If it doesn't host to one, you have the other, and don't have to pay for the extra shipping.

Is your clown a "tank-bred" or a live-caught? If it is tank-bred then it does not need to host an anemone to be healthy. Tank-bred, which means born and inhabited in a fish tank, clowns do not even know what anemones really are, but will most likely host one if you have it..
