The first article referenced is what I am using. I have an MR2 skimmer and talk about some NARSTY funk coming out of it. while I have the skimmer drain into a 5 gal bucket, I have to clean it every week cause it gets pretty funk nasty. I am currently dosing 3 ml for my 225 total volume system. started at .1ml for every 25 gallons, then went to .2 per 25 gal. Im taking it easy but im at .3ml per 25 gallons now on my tank. next week, ill bump it to 3.5ml total dose per day and then see how it looks. once you see your nitrates drop, then you cut the doseage in half.

Brand doesn't matter. The cheapest you can find.

    Exactly. The cheapest unflavored.

This means the one that comes in a gigantic plastic jug (usually 2+ liters), costs like 8 bucks, tastes absolutely horrible, and has some Eastern European name, like Vladimir or Popov, for those of you who never went to college. ;D

I'm not trying to put some grey goose or ciroc in my tank. The fish will be drinking better than me.
