This is the info I found on them but don't have any personal experience.......

Excaliber skimmers feature surface extraction boxes with a built in baffled, bubble trap. The smaller 3 inch diameter models are aspirated with a Rio 800 modified venturi pump. The larger 4 inch diameter skimmers are powered by a Rio 1700 with an external venturi. These skimmers out power others in their class producing consisten, thick foam with easy maintenance.

That is weird, I never seen these Excalibur Skimmers mentioned any where online and I am going to look at one at my LFS after work. These are what he is replacing his Bak Pak 2 with. I will let you know how he likes them, he has a few huge display cases that are beautiful, I am bless with a good LFS and he will give me an honest opinion.

My LFS stopped selling them, to many problems he said. He replaced them all on his own tanks except one 30 gallon tank.

My LFS is on a mission to only sell high quality protein skimmers, so i always get a good review on any product. He is try to make a deal with Remora so he can compete against the internet stores.
