    What should I do with the ice to keep it from making the temp too low? Or will they balance out well? I don't want too much more fluctuation, too fast.

    just watch ur temp and figure out how many cubes it takes to drop temp by x degrees. like the ice packs i was making today were 4 ice cubes would drop my temp by about 1 degree over about 15 min or till the 4 cubes melted then i would pull it out and that lasted me about 45 min before i had to get another one. and my room temp was 85 degrees. kept the tank between 78.0 and 78.9

    oh yea put the ice in bags or use bottles

    Not good. I live about an hour or so east of Madison and the weather has been crazy hot here. I just got my air condition put in (its a window insert kind) and my temp has been fairly stable. I came home from work the other day and saw it was at 86 degrees! Everything pulled through like a champ though. I think you will be just fine. :)
