i have a 55 gallon tank that has just cycled and was wondering if it was ok to get a ricordea, i have 2x65 bulbs that are a combo of actnics and 10k on each bulb (its a current satellite unit) and also wanted to know if that is enough lighting for a ricordea from my understanding most soft corals should be fine under that and there is a good deal on reefs2go.com right now with 3 ricordea for $49.99 and free shipping, does everything sound ok, im new to the reef but this is my 2nd salwater tank

That should be fine. You may need to place them in the top 2/3 of the tank.

I wouldn't be afraid to try out a ricordea Florida in your tank. I have no practical experience with them but from what I understand, ricordea Yuma tends to be less forgiving.

Try out a nice standard blue/green Florida, shouldn't cost more than ten or fifteen dollars for a polyp and will open the ricordea door for you.

Yumas prefer higher quality water and less light at the start. They are actually worse shippers than floridas and more sensitive to change.

They do not sell Ricordea yumas. Ricordea yuma come from the Pacific Ocean and R. floridas from the Caribbean.
