For two weeks he has just been sitting there with no movement. I often go to take him out to flush him but I notice his little tentacles ( the ones that feed) are still working. I touch him and he will shift him self but he has not left that spot for two weeks. What gives?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Is it out and about during the night, after the lights have been off for a number of hours?

I would not worry about flushing him. Unless it's a huge crab it should not affect water quality if it's on the way out.

Post an image if you could please.

I had an emerald that did the same thing, three weeks. He was wedged in some rocks, went straight there when I put him in. Never moved. Went to fish him out, he started moving. He finally died in the same spot, and the cuc is slowly cleaning him up. It was wierd but I guess it happens.
