Sadly, I had to break down my 36 gallons seahorse tank. I lost my seahorses after about 2 years and right now it would be too much work to try and reboot a seahorse tank, as much as I love them. I would, however, like to do something a little more strait forward. I was thinking about maybe just doing a freshwater tetra tank. Its very easy, sort of a zen garden tank. I was also thinking frag tank for my reef, but I don't really have enough corals large enough to frag to make that worth it. I am open to saltwater but it has to be low work. Anything?

I could go with FW planted, but I don't want to start to get into CO2, fertilizers... That can get just as tough as another reef.

i sa if you have a reef already you should turn it into a frag tank it is simple and a lot easier then a planted tank just get the proper requirements and you can add corals when ever you like and treat sick corals

A frag tank could work. I already have a bakpak skimmer from the seahorses, but all I have for that tank is a 2 bulb t5. Upgrading lighting to grow SPS could get expensive, and I am looking to go cheap.

I'm thinking definitely freshwater planted or frag tank.

I ended up going with freshwater planted. I'm setting it up right now.
