I really like that idea but I'm not sure how to make that work with a nano cube since the overflow would be above water level. I would have to drill holes in the bottom of the false wall and slow down the flow on the return pump to have it drip down the moss background or install a separate filtration system.

Also, I would love to hear from people that have kept a fu-manchu or a pipefish. Any tips or anything you would do differently as far as the hardscape? I would imagine pipefish would prefer some macro algae and a fu-man would prefer more open area instead of stacking so much rock at the bottom.

I'd think it would be a bit small for an eel, but I'm not very familiar with them, or their needs. So, I'm sure someone else can answer better. I do like the Fu Manchu Lionfish idea though. Or something along those lines anyways.

Yeah i have seen a few things that say 30 gallons and a few sites that say 50 gallons. We have one at my store in a 55 gallon and it just sits under the same rock all day waiting to be fed. lol

Yeah, they get to be about 25"-30" in captivity, I'd go with my fu-man idea ;D

I personally would go off the wall and go with an octapus or mabey jellyfish ? or a little more sensible and do seahorses.

1+ paludariums are cool. Or a tidepool or mangrove tank(half shore line half water)

Or you could have one or two BTA's in there with some clowns, or a clownfish/other fish breeding tank.Brackish tank, deep water tank, scorpion\frogfish\angelfish tank, dwarf lionfish tank, sandbed tank(open sandbed part coarse part fine DSB),invert tank, marine planted\DT refuge,Striped Shrimpfish (Aeoliscus strigatus) with mangroves, filefish tank, biotope,or a garden eel but they are hard to care for, fingered dragonet, mini aggressive tank, clam tank, shallow lagoon\reef,etc
