So, within 24hrs of adding life (CUC) to my tank...the power goes out for over half the day. Came home to a blacked out house and a dead tank. Temp dropped over 10 degrees. Guess I'm now forced to plan for power outages sooner than later. Which is likely a good thing since SoCal likes its natural disasters :bomb:

I have an MP10 and am waiting for my Radion. I'll now be buying the battery backup to run those two.

The last piece of the puzzle is the heater. How can I power it?

I live in an apartment with no protected outside space, so having a stationed generator is out of the question.

Is there any sort of battery operated, mini, backup supply source that can be used?

    What does everyone do?

Maybe those metal blankets they use for disasters to cover the tank. They look like foil and are super thin and cheap?

Inverter and a car battery would work to power your heaters... I'd think.
