ehopps 150 in sump

how long is the break in periord? i put it in and it make a lot of bubbles and fills the cup with water. should i take the cup off and let it run? the manual said for the sump water level to be between 9 and 12 so i made it 10 1/2

 

Water level seems perfect. Any way to adjust it so it doesn't overflow? Perhaps on the low side for now? I wouldn't run it without the cup myself.

 

It make take 2 or 3 weeks to settle in. Lower the water level to keep it from filling the cup so rapidly. I agree with Matt keep the cup in place.

 

Ok ill just put something under it to raise it and ill put the cup back on and wait it out

 

Mine took less them a week to break in. Adjust the knob until you don't see water near the top and make sure the airline is clear. If there are right, then just wait for nasty stuff to start showing up!

 

Yeah I checked the airline and the knob is wide open so now the waiting game. Its wierd theres no adjustment on the air intake

 

Eshopps doesn't have an adjustment on the air intake just the water level.

so my skimmers been running great. How often do I clean it and how?

 

Adjust the knob or turn pipe to where the fine bubbles are just at the base of the cup. And in about a week it should be broke in, and enjoy emptying the cup every 2 to 3 days. For the price they seem to skim alot of crud.
