Just picked one up at Petco. Have it set up to help me keep a regular feedi g schedule. I work weird hours every day so hard to keep a schedule. My lights are on from 3:00 pm to midnight, so I have it set to feed a small amount of flake food at 4 and again at 6. Then I feed frozen mysis shrimp when I get home, usually around 930.

Anyone ever use this piece from Eheim? I tested it a few times and have it set to give a nice small amount. I was getting some cyano algae a few weeks ago so I started feeding less. Algae is all but gone now. Hopefully this more spaced out feeding schedule will help as well.

My main reason for adding this auto feeder was the addition of a pair of semi Picasso clowns that were pricey, so I want to make sure I am feeding them proper amounts over the course of the day.

That sounds like a lot of feeding. With a small tank it may impact your water quality over time. IME, clowns dont need fed multiple times a day. Mine are lucky if they get fed once a day and they are doing just fine. Are they accepting the food you feed them?
