Who has large sound systems near their tanks?

I have a, some would call massive, sound system. I am hesitant to put it anywhere near the tank.

Has anyone seen effects of having loud music near tanks. Do the fish freak out? I would hate to have all my fish en-masse carpet surfing.

I have surround sound in my living room, along with my tank. It's not massive, but I've never noticed my fish freak out from it.

It might not have been from the dB level in my truck, but rather the type of music. \m/  \m/

Well... I do live audio / DJ services so, it's not your normal surround sound system.

I honestly have never cranked it up in my truck. I should try that first I guess. Hate to try that with my new guys that are coming though.

Sometimes I remind myself to keep the music down on the way home after a fish purchase. Don't know if it really helps. However, with the home stereo I might be more concerned with stressing my corals. If I drop something in front of the tank or lean my chair back and the legs hit the floor my montipora digitata retract quickly. They usually come back out
fairly quickly, but if this happened repeatedly it might stress them out. So the force of the music from the bass might have this same effect. Just my thoughts

Haha, with that setup, I'd be very concerned about shaking the tank literally to pieces.

I don't know if fish can hear things, but vibrations in the water from low freq sound may stress it I think.
