Have it narrowed down to these two units. Tank is going to be 24x18x18 and will be LPS dominated. Was dead set on getting the Panorama PRO, but continued research has enlightened me to the Radion.

    Some of my thoughts...

    Panorama
    Pros:
    -reasonable price
    -dead silent (no fan)
-no heat transfer to tank (supposedly)
-controllable color spectrum w/ wireless remote
    -entirely water resistant
    -super sleek looking and adjustable

    Cons:
-needs some sort of controller for dimming/dawn/dusk

    Radion
    Pros:
    -links to the wireless Vortechs
-completely controllable color spectrum, and pre-programmed settings
-sunrise/sunset functions allows for a longer photo period, and probably looks cool too
-the storm effect looks pretty rad (however, that's likely just aesthetics)
    -fan cooled
-hey, it's EcoTech, surely it's a quality product

    Cons:
    -more expensive
    -no wireless controlling via computer
-not Mac compatible **EDIT-yes it is**
-fan likely creates some degree of noise (?) and uses extra power

If anyone has either, how do phosphorescents come out? Do you need any supplemental lighting like a stunner strip?

Happy to hear any opinions or additional info...THANKS!

The Radion has a new portal like control function via browser so that will nullity the Mac issue. Also, you can rig up an antennae to wirelessly connect. My Radion is silent. Depending on funds you might want to get the xr30 pros with violet LEDs. My only negative.

Radion, PRO's use tiny leds and cold whites.

Thanks for the heads up, I missed that the Pro has ultraviolet LEDs, that could easily solve a stunner strip necessity.

I was just going off their website...

White: 8 Cree XT-E Cool White (5w each)
Red: 4 Osram Oslon SSL Hyper Red, 660nm (3w each)
Yellow: 2 Osram Oslon SSL Yellow, 590nm (3w each)
    Green: 4 Cree XP-E Green, 520nm (3w each)
    Blue: 8 Cree XP-E Blue, 468nm (3w each)
Royal Blue: 8 Cree XT-E Royal Blue, 442nm (5w each)
    Indigo: 4 SemiLEDs UV, 415nm (2.5w each)
    Ultraviolet: 4 SemiLEDs UV, 405nm (2.5w each)

*All wavelengths are the peak emitted wavelength of the LED.

Either way, seems like a better choice ;D

Do the power supplies come with the fixtures, or sold separately?

I mean its pricey, but the level of sophistication is amazing. I am still trying to figure out the upgrade program and see if im moving out of the country
